You may be wondering how we remodel your kitchen & the timeline you should expect for the project from start to finish? A successful kitchen renovation is best broken up into multiple phases. That way we can help you visualize the big picture and build a schedule that works for you. A kitchen renovation typically takes anywhere from three (3) weeks to five (5) months to complete depending on the size and scope of the project. The following information breaks the process and timeline down into phases for you.

Phase 1: Budgeting and Planning

You will start the kitchen remodeling process by sitting down with our design team in order to  choose your layout, determine your budget, and define your design preferences. The budgeting and planning phase can be completed at your own pace. However, you should be aware the longer it takes to budget and plan for your kitchen renovation will have a direct impact on scheduling phase two.

Phase 2: Ordering Materials

The next phase involves us ordering all the materials and products that you have chosen for your kitchen renovation project. For example, we will order the cabinets, countertops, flooring materials, backsplash, cabinet hardware, lighting fixtures, and kitchen appliances. Phase two can take anywhere from a week or two to a few months on average depending on the products and materials that you choose. For example, custom kitchen cabinets will take longer than stock cabinets. Anything custom will take longer for delivery.

Phase 3: Demolition of Your Current Kitchen

We will tear out your old cabinets, countertops, appliances, and flooring and complete structural demolition during the third phase. You can expect this phase to take a day or two, however if we are eliminating walls, rewiring electrical, and or relocating plumbing expect the demolition phase to take 1-2 weeks on average.

Phase 4: Painting & Finishing

We’ll finish the flooring, paint the walls and ceiling, and prepare your space for cabinets to arrive during phase four. If we’re laying wood flooring, it is best to have it in place before the cabinets are installed. However, if we’re installing solid stone or tile flooring it can be cut to fit after the cabinets are installed. Expect anywhere from 3-5 days for phase four.

Phase 5: Installing the Cabinets and Countertops

We’ll install the cabinets and template for countertops during phase five. Installing the cabinets can take 2-3 days depending on the total number of units that are being installed.  Once the cabinets are installed, we’ll complete a hard measure and template for the countertops. The industry standard for delivery of solid surface countertops or stone countertops such as granite, marble, or quartz is 14 business days.

Phase 6: Cleanup

We will clean up all leftover debris and haul away any trash from the project during the sixth and final phase. At that point you can start enjoying your new kitchen and show it off to family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors.
